So I've been seen a lot of people writing, 'I couldn't get the game to work!' Immediately assuming that the game is terrible and they leave a bad review and leave. All you really have to do is just reload the page a couple times and it should work fine. I've been playing this game every day for the past week and it works perfectly fine for me every time.
This game was made in 1990, and I'm very surprised how popular and how much the game has grown. I love this game so much and its very historically accurate. The Oregon Trail is a very fun game and it works fine.

Yes, the game's volume is broken. Instead of trying to mute the game, just turn off your volume all together. A save button is not exactly needed because there's no save button on life, right?

Why would a game like this have in-app-purchases anyway?

For those of you who can't get past the part after entering names, if you pressed the shift button, you are stuck in caps lock. Pressing numbers will make the game think you're entering the numbers with the shift buttons. If you do not press the shift button and enter your names in lowercase, the game runs fine.
Also shift works for me all the time and I'm on a school-issued chromebook so it works fine for me on chromebooks. I hope this helped you! :D
